I was involved with setting up of the Haemato-oncology unit from the beginning at Parkside Oncology clinic with Prof Ray Powles. We celebrated 5 years in January 2009 before I left for India in October 2009. I helped set up the auto transplant programme which included setting up the infrastructure, basic training and education of the nurses, getting EBMT accreditation for the unit, setting up unit guidelines, treatment protocols and SOPs.

I also set up the medical oncology at Max Cancer centre Saket and Patparganj, New Delhi and was involved from initial stages. I helped develop the concept of specialised oncology nursing and onco-pharmacy with the use of admixture lab up to international standards.

Recently, I have been involved with setting up of a new cancer centre within the NHS at Worcestershire Royal hospital.
