Artemis is a 300-bedded tertiary care private hospital in the NCR region. Since I joined, following have been initiated /implemented within the oncology department

• Optimised daycare facility with oncology trained nurses and an admixture lab with laminar flow.
• Regular courses for the nurses in handling chemotherapy, infection control, hand hygiene and care of central venous access devices.
• Monthly cancer awareness programmes and clinical screening camps in the nearby villages and resident welfare associations through the hospital and NICCI (New India Cancer Charity Initiative)
• Complimentary palliative care program in collaboration with Cansupport
• Joint site-specific clinics for Breast, GI, Gynaecological and head & neck cancers.
• Home care program for end of life care, palliative care, administration of infusions, injections and blood sampling prior to chemotherapy.
• DNB inspection for medical oncology
• NABH re-accreditation for medical oncology
• Patient support group meetings.
• Antibiotic stewardship committee to rationalise the use of antibiotics within the hospital
• Prospectively maintained database which reports to the Haryana and IRCH Cancer registry
• Member, Institutional review Board .
• Member, Medical audit Committee
• Member, Antibiotics stewardship committee
